Archive of the living,
In this body of work, the use of newspapers metaphorically questions the contemporary human condition as it experiences daily bombardment of news and informatiotional infiltration without the opportunity or the ability to control, disseminate, validate or respond. The exhibition addresses the signicance placed on contextual constructs weighing on society while simultaneously reducing the value of their content minimizing their functionality to mere paper objects. The outwardly simplistic, primary geometric bodies, composed of multiple compactlayers of newspaper, and the textural formation of complex, voluminous inner structures provokes the audience to collectively exist in the fragile balance of order or as a functioning form amidst chaos.
