"Remembrance" was a performative installation dedicated to honoring imprisoned protesters. In collaboration with others, we crafted a large-scale installation suspended from the ceiling, featuring intricate red threads. Participants are were invited to actively engage in the process by either contributing to the weaving itself or by inscribing the names of the imprisoned protestors on tags and attaching them to the threads.

The primary purpose of this installation was to foster a shared remembrance, allowing individuals to be a part of this collective memory. By weaving together the threads and inscribing the names of the imprisoned protestors, we aimed to create a tangible and symbolic representation of solidarity and support. Through this interactive experience, "Remembrance" aspires to evoke empathy, raise awareness, and honor the sacrifices made by those who have dedicated themselves to the cause of justice and freedom.

This participatory approach, made possible through collaboration with CNL Project and Elise Butterfield, is further enhanced by RaminTakloo, who recorded this installation and created the video. Additionally, the generosity of the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC) in providing the space has been instrumental in bringing this performance to life.
